Inviting an interior designer into your home is a significant step. Every studio works differently, and understanding what to expect can make the experience feel far more relaxed and enjoyable.
Our process is designed to be considered, transparent, and reassuring — allowing you to feel supported from the very first conversation through to the moment you step into your finished home.
The Introduction
Getting to know you and your home
Every project begins with listening. Before any design work takes place, we share a tailored design questionnaire, giving you the opportunity to tell us how you live, what you’re drawn to, and what matters most in your home.
We then meet you in person at your home. This allows us to understand the space properly, talk through your aspirations, and explore how the home needs to function day to day. Budgets, timescales, and expectations are discussed openly, ensuring clarity from the outset and setting the foundations for a calm, well-managed project.
The Design Concept
Shaping the vision
With a clear understanding of you and your home, we begin developing the design concept. This stage brings together layout, furniture, lighting, materials, finishes, and colour into a cohesive vision that feels intentional and personal.
Where appropriate, we design bespoke elements such as joinery, furniture, or rugs, tailored precisely to the space and the brief. These pieces often become long-term investment elements within the home.
Once the concept is developed, we present it to you in detail. This typically includes moodboards, sample boards, space planning, and 3D visuals, all designed to help you fully understand how the finished space will feel. The presentation is a collaborative conversation, an opportunity to explore the design together, refine details, and ensure everything feels right before moving forward.
Procurement
Managing the detail behind the scenes
Once the design is signed off, we move into procurement. This is where much of the work happens quietly in the background.
We obtain quotations, confirm specifications, and prepare a clear proposal outlining each item, including dimensions, finishes, lead times, and costs. Transparency is key at this stage, ensuring you feel confident and informed about every element being ordered on your behalf.
We liaise directly with trusted trades and suppliers, coordinating schedules, managing deliveries, and overseeing quality throughout. Items are carefully stored until installation, allowing everything to come together smoothly and without unnecessary disruption.
Installation
Bringing everything together
Installation is the moment when months of planning come to life. Dates are agreed in advance, and we manage the process in full, coordinating trades, furniture placement, styling, and final detailing.
Installation days can be busy, but our role is to ensure you don’t need to manage any of it. Once complete, the space is revealed ready for you to enjoy; finished, styled, and cared for down to the last detail. We take care of everything, including clearing up, so you’re left simply to settle into your home.
