About Us
Every beautiful room starts with good questions.
How do you actually live? How do you want to feel when you walk through the door? What does this room need to do for you, not just now, but in ten years?
Because home is a feeling. And in most homes there's a room, sometimes more than one, that hasn't quite caught up with the life being lived in it. That's the room we design. Spaces that absorb real life, reflect the people inside them, and grow with you.
Based in Esher, Surrey, working across the surrounding areas.
Our Approach
Exceptional spaces begin with thoughtful planning. That's what turns a beautiful design into a room that changes how you live in it.
Behind every project is a close-knit team of trades we've trusted for years. We handle the whole process: design, procurement and delivery, leaving nothing for you to do but enjoy it.
Brass House Studio
Brass House Studio is the private, by-appointment-only home of Fiona Brass Interiors. Nestled in Surrey, it is a calm, welcoming space where ideas take shape and every project begins with thoughtful conversation.
Designed as a working studio rather than a traditional showroom, it gives our clients the time and space to explore ideas without distraction. Here, we develop concepts, review plans, compare materials, refine colour palettes and make considered decisions together, all at a pace that feels enjoyable rather than overwhelming.
Whether you're joining us for a design meeting, a Designer for a Day experience or the start of a full Signature Design project, the studio is a place to step away from the distractions of everyday life and immerse yourself in the possibilities for your home.
It's where ideas become plans, plans become projects, and exceptional homes begin.
Meet the Team
Fiona
My route into interior design began somewhere unexpected: science. A Food Science degree at University College Cork, then years with some of the UK's biggest food brands, including Tesco and Sainsbury's. A world of rigour, detail and delivery. By the time I retrained at KLC and launched FBI, I'd also spent a decade developing properties personally. The foundation was solid before the business began.
It still shapes how I work. I see the problem first, the solution next, and creativity is how I get there. Logic before aesthetics, always. Science taught me there's an answer to everything. Interior design is just a more beautiful way of finding it.
The part I love most hasn't changed. It's the people. Sitting at a kitchen table, hearing how someone actually lives, spotting the thing they've stopped noticing about their own home. There's always a better version of a room waiting to be found, and finding it together is the best part of the job.
I keep projects deliberately few, working with a small team and trades I've trusted for years. More than half our clients come back for another room. Plenty have become friends. That's the measure I care about.
One belief underpins it all: there's no such thing as a wrong decision. Only how you make it work for you.
love how you live.
Alice
With over six years' experience in the interior design industry, I enjoy every stage of the design process, from developing creative concepts and refining layouts through to producing detailed technical drawings and overseeing projects as they come to life.
After completing my degree at the University of York, I furthered my training with the British Academy of Interior Design. I work closely with Fiona throughout each project, transforming ideas into practical, considered designs that are carefully detailed and ready to be brought to life.
A large part of my role involves developing design concepts, preparing technical drawing packages, liaising with trades and coordinating every stage of a project. I enjoy the problem-solving that comes with each project and take pride in managing projects progress smoothly from the initial concept through to the final installation.
For me, great interior design is about creating homes that work beautifully for the people who live in them. I love getting to know our clients, understanding how they want to live and helping create spaces that feel considered and personal, simply to enjoy.

I love bringing order to the many moving parts behind an interior design project. From managing procurement and coordinating suppliers to keeping track of orders and budgets, I make sure everything is in place so projects can progress as smoothly as possible.
With over 20 years' experience in purchasing, project coordination and finance, I'm naturally organised and enjoy solving problems before they become problems. I work closely with Fiona and Alice behind the scenes, keeping a close eye on every detail so they can focus on the creative side of the project while our clients can simply enjoy watching their homes come together.
For me, it's all about being dependable, thorough and making the process feel effortless. There's nothing more satisfying than knowing every piece has arrived exactly where it should, ready for the next stage of the journey.
