The Esher Home
The owners of this Esher home love entertaining family and friends, but wanted their home to feel just as welcoming and comfortable when it was simply the two of them. Our work began with the lounge, followed by the creation of a dedicated cinema room and a bespoke home office. Each space has its own character, designed around how the clients use and enjoy their home.
The lounge already had beautiful architectural detailing, which we wanted to complement. Our focus was on introducing warmth, texture and comfort while respecting the existing character of the room. Bespoke joinery was designed to compliment the architectural details, alongside a new gas fire to create a welcoming focal point. A statement pendant, new flooring, window treatments and carefully selected furniture, fabrics and accessories brought the scheme together, creating a space that feels both refined and relaxed.
The cinema room was designed to deliver a true cinematic experience. We completely reworked the lighting scheme, introduced bespoke timber joinery and panelling, and commissioned upholstered acoustic wall panels to improve sound quality while adding texture and depth. A raised platform was constructed to accommodate staggered seating, with plush carpeting and generously proportioned reclining chairs ensuring comfort throughout. Working alongside Art of Integration, who delivered the specialist AV and lighting systems, we created a fully integrated cinema that combines performance with a considered interior.
The home office was designed specifically around the owner's personality and interests. Bespoke dark joinery provides a combination of practical workspace, storage and illuminated display areas for personal memorabilia. A redesigned layered lighting scheme, textured wall coverings and carefully selected finishes give the room a distinctive, more masculine character, creating a workspace that feels both personal and purposeful.
Across all three rooms, the emphasis has been on thoughtful design, quality materials and carefully considered details, creating individual spaces that work beautifully for both everyday living and entertaining.
